How to delete historical women's health tracking activities?

I can see previously recorded activity on my account but I cannot delete it. The instructions provided by Garmin only cover changing period days from the calendar. Is there a way (or can one be added) to allow for all of that particular type of data to be deleted?

  • I want to echo this and am jumping on for an answer. How do we remove historical data?

  • Depending on the situation is linking the device to a brand new Garmin account. The historical data will remain in the old account and you'll start accumulating stats in the new one.

If there isn't a lot of historical data, you can delete activities one-by-one in the list of activities page using the gear icon on the upper right side of the page.

If there's too much historical data, I think @trux might have a solution for you.

Frankly told, I do not even know what women's health tracking activities are, and how they are stored. If they are stored among other Activities, then deleting them either manually, or though a script on the Dev Javascript console would be indeed possible. But if those activities are stored as daily data (similarly like the HR, steps, Calories, etc), then those cannot be deleted, and the only way to get rid of them (if it is really necessary) is by following the advice of , and creating a new GC account.

  • It would appear that they are stored similarly to steps and calories as I can see them in the Connect calendar but I cannot delete them. Creating a new Connect account seems like an non-solution. I don't want to my previous 8 years worth of data just to delete this one aspect of my profile. Surely the Garmin devs could make it easier than that.

  • Well, theoretically you can export all the daily data fit files on the Daily Summary page (after clicking the cogwheel button), deleting the entire record, and then importing back only the needed data. The problem is, that a layperson cannot distinguish which file in the zip archive contains which data. They are all named in the same manner. You would need to use the FIT SDK or another tool for reading the content of the FIT files. Also you would have to write a script that would repeat the manipulation with every single day of the 8 years. So, although theoretically it may be possible, practically there is no way to do it without being a coder, or hiring one.

Garmin devs surely could make it easier, and you can suggest the idea to them, but I'd tell that they are busy enough with requests, extensions, and bug fixes of higher urgence, and touching everyone, so I would not hold my breath expecting they would implement such a rarely used feature any soon.

  • Hello .  The closest one can get to deleting this type of data will be to perform some edits to minimize the amount of data there, or to make whatever edits you choose.  Please see the "Viewing the Calendar and Editing Your Period" section of the FAQ below:
