After creating a few segments for a ride:
- During activities based on a course created by the first activity of these, the created segments matched during ride only for the first couple of them. Now, segments no longer come up during riding that course.
- Back at home, on Web there is a mixed bag of things. Several activities do no match a single segment, others match a couple of them, from those that match on one activity I can see my rank while on the other just a "--".
- Clicking a million times on the "Match new segments" does nothing.
I have not managed to sort why the segments do not come up during ride, but I managed to solve the problem where activities (rides) based on the same route do not get the segments after the "Match new segments" is clicked.
- on the web Garmin Connect click on the gear at the top right of the activity
- select the Trim option
- eat a second or two from the ride from the start or the end so that the save is enabled
- after saving click on "Match new segments", et voila, in a few seconds all segments are there!
It is quite annoying! Wonderful hardware implemented by terrible apps (web and mobile).
