SOLVED : user error : GC using hr zones linked to online device settings and not using zones from activity (fit file)

    I did a test:

    1. recorded a short activity,
    2. synced it to my GC account, viewed the HR Zones - of course, on the first import they were exactly as they ought to be, just as expected
    3. I exported the fit file, verified the HRZ in the FIT file - also all right, of course
    4. I deleted the activity
    5. I changed the HRZ in the device settings, synced, and imported the fit file again - still OK, it keeps the HRZ from the fit file (as expected, but different than in your case!)
    6. To cross check, I imported the fit file to a secondary GC account, not associated with the device. Same result - HRZ from the fit file

    However, I use just a single device. So my conclusion is, that I strongly suspect that in your case the syncing of multiple devices with the Physio TrueUp forces the GC account to use HRZones from one of the devices instead the ones from the fit file.

    Try turning off the Physio TrueUp feature on all involved devices, and perform another test, to verify this theory.

    Not sure I understand. So is it only this one specific file that does not keep the HRZ as stored in it, or is it a general behavior with all fit files? Or just fit files from your own devices?
