Garmin accuracy

I’ve just bought a Garmin etrex 10 to use for finding locations prospecting. My plan was to find locations on google earth and enter the coordinates into the gps to lead me there. I tested this today and my problem is the gps and google earth had a 535 metre difference in coordinate position.
I have GPS + GLONASS and WAAS/EGNOS switched on and am running on WGS84. It was suggested to me google earth wasn’t so accurate but I researched this to be around 39 metres which would be fine with me but not 535 metres. I’m stumped?
