Friend Forum -for those who don't know other garmin users

Hi all!

For the record, I did see another post similar to this one, but it was 4+ years old so.....here we go!

Edit: The best answer to finding new users to connect with would be to start the challenges. As other, wiser, users have pointed out, it's simply too easy for your data and safety to be compromised. Thank you for your responses!

  • You can also check the Weekly Challenge, open Challenges from the menu, then join to the first option.

Anyone can join, and you'll see participants from a group and can add comments. You'll be matched by your steps' count. This way you can find other users who are at similar level of activity.

  • ... or you can also join a Group in Garmin Connect. There are plenty of activity-based groups, or local groups, where joining them makes much more sense, than trying to create connections to random anonymous people on a public forum. The access to your training data may be easily abused for example by burglars, and by other criminals.

  • No Way.
I don't put myself out in the open for anyone to spam or invade what's left of my so-called privacy.

    Sounds like SPAM to me.

    • Hey, thank you. Doing stuff online or forums at all is still a new thing for me. So thank you for your respectful reminder to play it safe. If I could figure out if/how to delete this post I would! Have a good day!
  • Thank you BunBun! I looked into it as you suggested and it's a much better fit (and safer too). Thank you for your respectful response.

I do not think it is a problem if it stays here. Oppositely, the comments posted here may offer answers for other forum members with a similar idea Slight smile
