Have an Epix gen 2 but cannot create segments

I have an Epix gen 2 on my account, but the option to create segments does show up on my bike rides recorded with it.

The Epix gen 2 is “compatible with segments” according to https://support.garmin.com/en-US/?faq=PH8600FL9d9MDCiYaJbg0A

Please enable segments on Garmin Connect Web for us Epix owners!

Sorted: You have to enable Garmin Segments first in the Android app, which disables Strava Segments for you.

Not very intuitive!
