Can someone help me fix corrupt .fit file

In many cases FIT File Tools, using the section remover without any adjustments will work. The result can then be uploaded to Garmin Connect Web using the Import Data page. Then change the activity type from "Other" to "Running," or whatever the activity happened to be. I tested your file, so this works. By the way, I've been on this trail a few times. Good stuff. 

I keep getting the message, "One of your files was not accepted by the system. Please contact Support for assistance."  I can upload to Strava though, but not Garmin Connect

Yeah Big Dry Creek is great for long runs too.  I hate having to cross roads so its perfect.

New update.  Looks like by changing the file name I was able to upload.  The odd thing is the workout won't load on Garmin connect.  When you click on that activity it brings up a blank page with the cursing just stuck thinking.  The workout does show on connect app, but I can't edit the workout type
