I have a Garmin Vivomove HR. LCD has failed and your customer services refuse to repair/replace under warranty. Why doesn’t your software allow to see serial number via the app? Im sure this would help others

have a Garmin Vivomove HR for 23 months. LCD has failed and your customer services refuse to repair/replace unless I pay nearly £80 for a reconditioned replacement as unable to provide proof of purchase. I can’t as was a gift.
Suggestion, why can’t I access my serial number from the App? I am pretty sure most competitors products can? Would this then provide details such as purchase date etc ?
To be honest I have lost faith in Garmin and your products, and cr.. customer service I will not be buying again and will spread the word as much as possible that your watches lack quality !

  • If you registered your watch, you should be able to see the serial number on the products page for your Garmin account.

    https://www.garmin.com/en-US/account/products/

At least I can for my watch.

  • And you can also see  the S/N in Garmin Express. And with the app Garmin Connect Mobile, you can see the S/N in Device Settings » System » About, but I think it is only on newer devices, not sure about your Vivomove HR. And in the app, you can also send the Diagnostic Report (in GCM Menu » Help). It certainly contains the S/N too. There is also the Device ID in the Sync Audit, that should be enough for identifying the device too, although it is not identical to the S/N.
