Motorsport activity (race track) issues

I was trying to use Fenix 7 during a track race day and found a few issues:

1. The motorsport activity provided by Garmin Connect IQ app would be perfect, but oddly, Fenix 7 is not listed a as compatible device - (Fenix 6 generation is).

2. The alternative is to create new activity ("other"), with autolap by position, highest resolution GPS and lap time and last laptime data fields (gap to best would be great but I have no idea if it is doable at all). It does require changing activity type to motorsport in Garmin Connect afterwards.

3. It also requires pressing start while crossing the start/finish line - once, but still potentially tricky thing in the heat of race driving. Is there any way to create a segment that starts and ends in the same place?

4. Garmin connect does not allow for shortening the activity, which is crazy - slow cruise back to pits, false splits in the depo zone, forgotten stop - they all mess up the readings.

Contact the author, and ask him to add F7, too.

That indeed worked, as does the exporting the fit file and trimming in fitfiletools. I had tried the trick with another seemingly trimmable activity type and it had not worked.

Still a suggestion to Garmin to allow for trimming "other" or "motorsport" activity types natively.

Possible, but you still have the link Contact Developer on that page, so I'd use it, in your place. They are not very likely to see your questions here, on the user forum.
