Seeing shift worker

I work swing shifts (days to nights and nights to days) and my garmin has a very hard time accurately tracking my sleep cycle. I feel it does not accurately track my sleep score. Is there a function on the watch that will help with this?

  • Well, perhaps there is. Kind of. My sleep time varies a lot too, so I have set the bed time in the User Profile quite wide (more than 12 hours), and do not have any problems with the sleep detection, whenever it is within the predefined time frame. So you can set the bed time the entire day, and it could work for you too. The disadvantage is that it then complicates the use of the Don Not Disturb mode, or of the Power Saving mode during sleep hours.

Other than that, you'd need to adjust the bed time in advance, each time you change the shift regime.

  • Thank you everyone for the help.  @Trux. I gave that a shot, to no avail. Maybe I'll just contact Garmin to see if there is anything coming down the pipe.
