Repairing Corrupt .fit File

I have a treadmill run that won't load to my Garmin today as it says it's a corrupt file. This happened a few months ago and I was fortunate to have someone repair it for me in the forum. By chance can anyone assist?

Fixed using Fit File Repair Tool

Some suggestions to help minimize the occurrence of corrupt fit files on a Forerunner 35

Sync your watch, backup the \GARMIN\ACTIVITY folder, then do a full master reset of your FR35 using these directions - Restoring All Default Settings
Add a weekly cleanup procedure of the ACTIVITY folder to your agenda using these directions - Removing Recorded Activities to Free Up Space
Please report back here when you encounter corrupted files again

Thank you so much! You have saved me again. To confirm, once an activity is synced to my account, is it then safe to delete the activity files when I plug my garmin in to my PC? I can't remember what I did the last time this happened and I was afraid to delete those old activity FIT files.

Yes. If the activities are synched to Garmin Connect there is no need to keep them on your device.

Hello!

Here I am yet again! I still have my Forerunner35. By the way, if there is an upgraded model that doesn't have this problem, I would love to know. Just haven't change this because it still works for the most part, but I will be upgrading soon and wasn't sure if this was a common thing among all Garmin models.

Yes. Any watch in the current lineup - GPS Running Watches | Running Watches.

The forerunner 35 (released in 2016), is by far the watch with the most corrupt file issues of any Garmin watch ever made.

Forerunner 30 a year after the FR35 release was the 'upgraded' model without the same problem
