Can you setup activity screens on a 245 from the app?

Made the jump from Polar after a decade because I thought my device was failing (turned out to be extreme bradycardia on my end, oops :x ) Liking the Forerunner a lot better than my M430 though.

One thing I am really missing from Polar Flow is the ability to set up watch faces and info screens/data fields for each activity on my PC rather than clicking through every option on the watch, which is a nightmare. Is this function in Connect or absent?

Also, there there's the HR Reserve option for setting heart rate zones, does Garmin calculate the resting HR from my metrics, or do I have to enter them manually? Would be nice instread of the usual 220 - Age which isn't ideal anymore.

Thanks

On my Garmin epix this is possible from the Garmin Connect Mobile app, but not from the web interface.

You can set resting HR manually or ask your watch to use the average (I think this is 7-day average but I’m not sure.)

With max HR you can have the watch auto-detect new maximum values, and/or set a custom value manually.

  • Only Epix and Fenix 7 can configure the screens from the app. All others will have to use the watch.

You can configure the HR zones in any way you like. There is an option for using the HR Reserve.

Also the watches from the Instinct 2 series (most likely including the Descent GI) have the configuration of activities' data screens configurable over the GCM app.
