Repairing Corrupt Fit File

Hi there,

I went for a run this afternoon but when the run ended the screen of my vivoactive 3 froze and then return to the default watch face without saving the run.

It was a 70 minute easy run as part of one of the 10k training programmes.

I've seen other people have some success in recovering files and I've been able to find a file from this morning on the device so hopefully there is a way to repair it?

I haven't been able to manually upload it and using this website: http://garmin.kiesewetter.nl/ gave me the following error:

Unexpected end of file while parsing Name has occurred. Line 151558, position 9.

It would be great if any help could be provided on this so I can record this run against the training programme. Zip file attached below.

    I get 5.41 km but might be missing the return to start. As you say, should be 70 min, but I only see 34.

    Usng FIT File Tools, section remover without any adjustments. The result can then be uploaded to Garmin Connect Web using the Import Data page. I tested your file, so this works. Then change the activity type from "Other" to "Running."

    Thanks for looking into this, it was a 5 minute warm-up and two half hour blocks of running and a 5 minute cool down. My guess is the second block and cool down might be lost. 

    Appreciate your help, at least some of it could be recovered. Will try and upload it later when I get home.
