Does anyone want to know how to upload .gpx files to your Garmin Edge without STRAVA subscription?

Use Garmin Connect Web to import the course using the import link on this page - https://connect.garmin.com/modern/courses. Then send it to your Garmin using the Garmin Connect mobile app.
