Super Strength 4 Badge Not Earned

I have recorded over 100 strength training activities, but the Super Strength Badge 4 has not been awarded. I got my watch in June or July 2020, so the start date is not the issue. Any ideas?  I see that this has been a problem in the past, but did not see a final resolution.  Thanks!

  • All activities must be logged with a Garmin device. Manually created activities do not count.

Use the Progress Summary report to check the count: https://connect.garmin.com/modern/progress-summary

Use custom dates and set start date to 2020-04-28 and end date to today.

The method I use is to create goals: https://connect.garmin.com/modern/goals

Set the start date to the date after you got Super Strength 3.

Here is my goal for HIIT 4:
I got HIIT 3 2022-02-28 and I need another 50 HIIT activities to reach 100. I see there is a small visual bug in Garmin Connect. It says km as target even if the goal type is number of activities.

  • Thanks for your answer.  I have done those things.  I earned badge 3 on 11/9/2020, and my count total is at 104.  There are no manual entries recorded.

  • Check the count from the day after badge 3.

There might have been a few that didn't count due to server issues like during the ransomware attack, but is hard to find them. Just continue and you will get the badge and can create a new goal from the new data.

I'm working on the HIIT and Pilates badges now and the count works perfectly, but there hasn't been any serious server issues for a long time.

  • Ok, if you say so.  Grin The goal I create can’t be made from the date after I earned badge 3 (11/10/2020) because it is over the year threshold for the goal (keeps telling me to set a future end date), but even so, the count I see from the custom date is 104.  From 11/10/2020 to now I have recorded 78 activities. From the way it sounds, you are saying I have to earn 100 from the date of badge 3 to get badge 4, which doesn’t seem corrct to me.   I’ll check again when I hit 120 activities or so.  Thanks!

  • Yeah, that is the problem with the goal function. That is why I move the start date after each badge, but it will not work for you.

You will probably get badge 4 in 1-2 more activities since badge 3 was pretty much on point. Just a few that didn't work for badge 4.

Thank you for your explanation. Now I know why I haven't reached Super Strength 4 having 100 activities. Amount of activities used to reach Super Strength 1, 2, 3 can't be added to reach Super Strength 4 - 100 activities have to be done separately.
But it is not always this way. I am doing 30-Day Goal Getter and I see my daily steps goal appears at 60-Day Goal Getter so I think after 30 days when I get badge and 4 points, I have to do only 30 to get another badge and 8 points.

Thanks for your question - I have found a solution for the same problem which appeared today because e7andy replies.

  • You don't have to do 100 extra strength activities for Strength 4. All the activities from when you got Strength 1 is used.

It would be good if I didn't have to do extra strength activities. I have counted my strength activities by Garmin Connect application and by myself  - I have got exactly 100 and haven't got Super Strength 4. Maybe there is one made manually but I can't remember if I did that. I'll do 1 or 2 more strength activities and see what happen.

You were right, all activities from Strength 1 can be used and don't have do 100 extra - I have got Super Strength 4 today after 1 extra activity. So now I have 101 strength activities and probably one of them was created manually long time ago and Garmin Connect didn't counted it.
    Thank you for your help.
