reminder for calendar badges

Hi,

I have 2 questions with regards to badges related to calendar dates:

1) Is there a full list of all calendar badges available? (new years eve/day western/chinese, valentines day, ...)

2) Is there any way to be reminded about upcoming calendar badges?

    I think the best way is to use my site: https://garminbadges.com

    I also have a blog where I write about all badges at least once a month: https://garmin-badges.blogspot.com

    I've been thinking about how to create some sort of notification service for upcoming badges. It will be connected to my site so you get only notifications about the badges you can get. Maybe also some calendar you can subscribe to. Development hasn't started yet, but when I start it usually just take a week or two to finalize.

    There is a walking challenge that started today but I got no mail about it...

    Have you used that service and checked that it works?

    I as well have signed up only a few days ago. I cannot confirm if it works.

    First issue I have is not knowing which status of the buttons (the 6 colored icons) is active and which is inactive for a reminder.

    True. I decided that I should click them all since the it says "For what type of challenges would you like to receive notifications?" and they were all enabled so I should click to select which challenges I want notifications for. But clicks will disable the icons which isn't logical if it means I select them. So now I clicked them again.

    I thought the Challenges area in the web page would display all challenges but it is empty. Maybe the developers stopped updating the service...

    Next challenge starts March 1st so now I just have to wait.

    Looks like I need to do some development of my own and fix a notification service.

    I just got my first mail from the challenge reminder service and one interesting thing is that they copied the texts from my blog: https://garmin-badges.blogspot.com/2022/02/march-2022-badges-cycling-climb-and.html

    I usually use the texts from Garmin without any modification but in some cases I add some extra info.

    For the Starbucks challenge I added the text: "Country: Canada, United States"

    The Noble Warrior Hero isn't a challenge. They copied my text "Note that this one requires a special watch."

    I have no problem that they use my blog as the source but it would be nice with some sort of attribution.

    My blog is now the true source of information for challenges and badges Slight smile
