The upload appears to be malformed and we are unable to process it.

Can somebody help me with this file? It is showing on my Garmin Forerunner 35 watch, but not uploading to Garmin Connect or Strava, and I have tried t do it via the PC as well.

Sure, just insert it into your post.

Zip the file, then in a reply post Insert >> Image/video/file >> click Upload >> browse for file >> OK.
Or upload the fit file to a file sharing service, such as OneDrive, Google Drive, Dropbox, etc., make the file public, then paste a link to the file in your post.

Sync your watch then do a full master reset of your FR35 using these directions - Restoring All Default Settings
Add a weekly cleanup procedure of the ACTIVITY folder to your agenda using these directions - Removing Recorded Activities to Free Up Space
Please report back here when you encounter corrupted files again

Do you know why the activity has now disappeared from the watch, but is showing on Garmin Connect now?

You don't really need it on the watch, in fact it can cause issues with corruption. Also, there is a 7-activity memory limit that can be stored on the Forerunner 35. With the oldest activity being overwritten with the most recent.
