Pool Swim Interval Distance Showing in Meters Instead of Yards

Lap distance in pool swim records on my Garmin Connect are now wrong for 25 yd pools. The records for my swims in 25 meter pools is still correct. All the 25 yard pool lengths seem to have been converted to meters: 100 yd swim now appears as 91. Also no units are shown. I see the same result when I look at my old records or if I look at a friends pool swim activity. I am using version 4.51.0.40. Everything was correct a few weeks ago. Is this a bug with a version update?

I reported the issue on Friday and sent my files to garmin support. It still isn’t fixed but they are aware. My 100’s showing as 91 also.

All-

We are aware of an issue where Garmin Connect is converting intervals recorded in yards into meters, thus displaying the distance in the wrong unit of measurement. We are looking into these reports and will be updating this thread when there is more information available.

Same problem. Error began this week (2/11/22).

All of my swim activity interval distances on my Forerunner 245 music, going back to beginning of new watch use in November 2021, have all been changed from yards to meter distances.

I’ve checked settings and pool length setting is still correct.... set to “yards”

Yes same for me. And now my yards are converted to meters for all my precious swims as someone else commented.

Wow! I thought I was the only one feeling absolutely bonkers from seeing a 91 for my 100 yd intervals and 363 for my 400s!

any news on how to fix it and why it suddenly happened???

I don't know, but if you zip and post the fit file associated with the swim, we might be able to help. There is also the Swim Watch Tools that might be able to fix it.

Same issue happening to me with my 745. From all these notes, this is likely some kind of global problem. Note that when I review my workouts on my iPhone, in the interval table it does show the units as "yd" for the Dist column, but the values are clearly meters not yards (e.g. shows 91, when it should show 100). The distance totals for the workout and other pace data, however, are correct on the summary screen and elsewhere. So this is likely some kind of display issue.
