I have a Fenix 6 Pro which replaced the Fenix 5 that I managed to loose to the sea. I use the watch to track many activities, but initially bought it for Kite Foiling. On the new watch I built my own activities for Kite Foiling, and then Wing Foiling. I based these on the included "Sailing" activity came pre-installed. For some reason sessions recorded on these activities in the watch, show zero calorie burn. Does anyone know why? Or how to fix it? The calories appear to show in the total for the day, but not in the summary of the activity which displays a big fat ZERO for calorie burn. All other activities that I use include a calorie count.
For further explanation. My calories for today (its evening) show 2900ish. That's much higher than if I have an inactive day. The only extra activity I did today was a wing foil session. I tracked this using the Wing Foiling activity I set up. This session shows zero calories, yet the calorie burn appears to be included in the inflated number for the day. The thing is that Wing Foiling has turned out to be a really decent workout. Todays 90 minute session had an average heart rate of 136, and a peak of 169. The first 30 minutes was pretty slow, so the last 60 was more intense than the average indicates. I'm 48. The workout was intense enough to be better than a long spin class at the gym, and I'm sure it would have resulted in higher calorie burn all day.
It's not end of the work stuff, just frustrating. It seems like such a great workout, and I'd love some numbers to quantify it. It appears the activity has been written to exclude calorie burn estimate. So...
Duration 1:36
Average Heart Rate 136
Peak HR 169
Training Effect Aerobic 3.3 - Anaerobic 2.3
Calorie burn: ZERO!
Can anyone help? Is there a way to turn this back on? Otherwise I guess I may have to start again and build new activities with the same name from scratch.
Cheers
