Rouvy sync to Garmin connect, ride is not count in Garmin challenges

Hi all, I am using tacx neo 2T and Rouvy app. Recently, Rouvy made ride syncing available to Garmin Connect. Everything is working fine, the only thing missing is for the ride to count towards Garmin challenges. Is this in the plan or is there some reason why it's not counting? Thank you in advance for reply.

  • Activities from 3rd party services do not count for badges and challenges.

"A Garmin device must be used when recording an activity or completing a challenge."

You can always ask Garmin to make it count: https://www.garmin.com/forms/ideas/

  • Thank you for your explanation, I use garmin watch during indoor activity. However, there is a big difference between the distance of the circuit shown by Rouvy and that measured by the Tacx Neo 2T trainer (previous FW was better in this). In addition, there is a complete lack of indication of meters climbed. I'll post a query in the trainer thread.

  • +1 I also submitted this idea to Garmin.
I understand that manually added activities should not count as challenges, but activities imported from trusted partners should. You cannot manually enter fictitious data on the Rouvy platform, so at least the activities saved in the 'Time trial' mode, i.e. with 100% mapping of the terrain, should be counted among the challenges.

  • Hi addik, ty for your answer. Situation is going better regarding Garmin challenges from Rouvy. Only one thing is still missing, count also with climb meters which I performed during virtual ride. Rouvy is trusted partner, after training data are automatically synchronized to Garmin without any possibility to change or send fake data...

  • What do you mean when you say situation is going better? Today's ride with Rouvy did not count as challenge:

    ('październik' means October)

  • I am sorry, pls. disregard my previous answer, it is confusing. I solved this problem in other way - pair your Garmin watch or Garmin computer to Tacx trainer. Start you activity like outdoor and after training you will have ridden kilometres and counted in challenges except climb meters. Ofc, there will be difference between ridden kilometres on Rouvy and Tacx but is it better than nothing...The biggest difference in distance occurs when you downhill without peddaling - tacx trainer immediatelly drop the speed to approx. 30km/h no matter what slope is it.

  • Yes, I know that, but I don't want duplicate activities, from Rouvy and from Garmin device. So I'm waiting for an official solution.

  • Understand. However as mentioned by e7andy above - "A Garmin device must be used when recording an activity or completing a challenge." If Garmin accept solution, where Rouvy and other vendors will be approved as trusted partners maybe this condition won't be necessesary to fulfill in the future....

  • This is ridiculous. Today I recorded my activity on Fenix without a connected trainer. The distance was zero km, but on the GC I edited the activity and manually entered 40 km. Garmin classified this as a challenge! So you can manually enter e.g. 1000 km, as long as the base activity comes from the Garmin device, but the imported activity does not count...

  • I have Garmin watch and Garmin Tacx and the Rouvy app is simply better then the build in Tacx app. This is very disappointing that Garmin is not counting Rouvy activities to challenges...
