Forerunner 935 shows activity but won't upload

Try a manual upload to Garmin Connect - How Do I Manually Upload an Activity I Recorded to Garmin Connect?

If you get any message other than Import Complete, then there is a problem with the file being corrupt. Attach it to this thread. We can look to see if it is repairable.

• Zip the file, then in a reply post Insert >> Image/video/file >> click Upload >> browse for file >> OK.
• Or upload the fit file to a file sharing service, such as OneDrive, Google Drive, Dropbox, etc., make the file public, then paste a link to the file in your post.

My coach manage to salvage all but the run and uploaded to Training Peaks but he said there was no run, which is strange. The watch shows the activity as including 227 km (but won't open the file).

Some suggestions to help minimize the occurrence of corrupt fit files:

• Remove all activity fit files from the device using these directions - Removing Recorded Activities on a Garmin Fitness Device 
• Regularly check for firmware updates using Garmin Express
• Please report back here when you encounter corrupted files again

Thanks I'll send this to my coach. Not sure how to upload to Garmin Connect. I tried drag and drop in the upload box online and it won't take it.

It worked!!!!

You need to extract the file then import into Garmin Connect connect.garmin.com/.../import-data

It just has a mistake on the ascent. The ride is OK - 2,800 m. The run was a descent and the file thinks it was an ascent... It was down to the sea and then more or less flat but hey, at least I have the run now!

Fit File Repair tool takes the elevation as it is recorded on the watch. I can take another look.

Total descent looks correct as you described. . .

Total ascent always shows up on the summary at the top of the activity page.
