Malformed .fit - file after Zwift-FTP-Test: no upload in Strava, Garmin possible

Hi there,

after my ftp-Test in Zwift, there was no upload in Strava and Garmin. The activity is not available in zwift either. Can anyone help me to fix the .fit file?

Here is the corrupt .fit file:

https://drive.google.com/file/d/1nWvfbk41kOF-Wm-v6eYihxX6gFafxNL0/view?usp=sharing

I already tried it to fix it in fit file repair - but I was not able to repair it. The file afterwards is to small (113 bit) and Strava and Garmin refuse to upload it.

Any help would be appreciated!

Greetings Dirk

  • You say the activity is not available in Zwift. Do you mean online? Or on the device with the Zwift game app? Is this on a PC? Where did you find the FIT file?

If using a PC, sometimes an activity does not upload to Zwift but the FIT file is still available on the PC. You can manually upload it wherever needed (sometimes it needs to be repaired first).

  • Hi guys, thank you very much for your reply. Im using an ipadpro with Bluetooth Connection and a kickr Core. The activity is Not online and not in the zwift app. The .fit file is from the app. I already failed repairing it - like the userFormer Member said. Maybe I Chose the wrong fit file…

    greetings Dirk

  • Is this how you found the FIT file on your iPad?

Retrieving your Fit File for iOS

If you're riding on iOS, here’s how to reach your .fit file:

Start up the Zwift Application. Tap on the 'Zwift' logo 3 times. This open up a browser, allowing you to choose your file (log or .FIT) and email them to whomever you'd like, yourself included.

On PC there is usually a FIT file called "inProgressActivity.FIT" for the last session. If iPad has similar, try that file.
