Set as Personal Record Greyed Out

My previous 10km run record was linked to a 6.5km run - weird. I deleted that record and went to Garmin connect web to manually assign my best 10km run as my PR but this option is greyed out from the drop down menu. I can't edit the 10km record either if I go in from the "personal records" page. It also doesn't seem to be automatically picking up a PR for the distance based on all my previous activities.

Any ideas on how to get the "set as PR" option functioning?

Yes, it auto checks only new activities. If you remove a record it won't re-check older runs.

Try on the Personal Records page, there should be trash bins after each record to remove and after removing - there should be option to manually enter a new record. And on top there is the drop-down list which records to display.

Or attach a screenshot if this still won't work.

Set as PR is not available for all types. Switch to Running. Set the PR. Switch back to the original type.

I'm having the same problem, I can edit my PR's for running but the cycling PR's are grayed out and wont allow any change to PR's

Which type of cycling is it? You need to switch type to "Cycling" to be able to set a PR. None of the subtypes will work.

Thanks for this info. I ran into this issue after uploading a couple years of cycling data into Garmin Connect Web. I had all my rides as activity type = "Road Cycling", so in order to set the PR for Longest Ride I had to switch one of my rides back to "Cycling", set the PR manually, then set the activity type back to "Road Cycling".
