It is not acceptable that I cannot edit my sleep goals. It is even less acceptable that a seven year old thread was locked to prevent more requests for this feature.

Look, I've read the other threads and Garmin's inadequate response. There are literally hundreds of fitness tracker watches on the market and nearly all of them feature fully customizable goals, including sleep metrics. Garmin's representative replied to the last thread with "There are no plans to implement this feature," and then locked the thread!

Okay., there are currently no plans for me to purchase ANY other Garmin devices, including navigators for trail or marine use, because you have declared that Garmin is not interested in customer feedback and not willing to implement features we paying customers want in the devices we purchase, and your decision to lock a SEVEN YEAR OLD THREAD to stop customers from commenting on how obnoxious your reply was is poor customer service

Who do you think you work for, Apple?

I really love my Garmin Instinct, but user customizable fitness metrics are necessary because not every person is the same. I can change my height, weight, and step goals, but not how much sleep I need or want to get to reach my optimum health levels? That is arbitrary and your flippant reply to reasonable and respectful requests is offensive. Did you somehow miss the part where the people you were replying to are the ones who pay your salary? You've had SEVEN YEARS to develop plans to implement this feature.

Please note that I wasn't even that annoyed by the inability to edit the sleep goals, despite seeing that the request was more than half a decade old. It was the offensive decision to flippantly reply to the thread (after SEVEN YEARS) with "no" and then lock it that resulted in my decision to avoid purchasing more Garmin products. It was pretty obvious that you expected a torrent of pissed off customer replies to your blasé response and you stopgapped that by closing a thread that has been open since the friggin Obama administration. If that's how you handle customers when they ask nicely for a new feature, what's going to happen if something goes seriously wrong? You clearly can't be trusted.

So, right now the two Garmin Montana 680T's that were in my Amazon shopping cart have been removed, as I'm sure this thread will be. Poor customer service shall not be rewarded with MY dollars.
