Delete old badge if activity is not available?

Hi,

I just bought a new Vivoactive 4s and everything is going well. I had a previous model that I used a year ago, but I removed it from Garmin Connect.

There is now badges associated with that watch that I cannot remove as the activities no longer exist, or I cannot find them (more than a year ago).

How do I delete / remove these badges and activities please?

Why remove badges and activities if it is you that have been awarded with them? The badges are connected to you and not your watch.

The badges that are directly connected to an activity will be removed if you remove the activity.

Click the badge you want to remove: https://connect.garmin.com/modern/badges

You should see a link to the activity. Click it and then remove it. Sometimes you see a date. Go to that date and remove the activity. Use the activities list: https://connect.garmin.com/modern/activities or the calendar to find them: https://connect.garmin.com/modern/calendar
You can also use the daily summary and just write the date in the URL: https://connect.garmin.com/modern/daily-summary/2021-12-28

Some badges are cumulative. Then you will have to remove enough of those activities to get below the threshold for the badge.

You can't remove challenge badges.

Hi, thanks for the feedback. The previous watch was second hand, so the badges do not belong to me. I have deleted all the activities associated with the badges, but the badges are still there.

Can I completely reset everything and start from scratch?

I just got the new watch, so I don't mind losing a bit of data.

Ok. You should've made a factory reset before you connected the watch.

Why badges are still there depends on the badges. Challenge badges can't be removed.

To start over you will have to create a new account.

If you want some of your old history to the new account you will have to export it and then import it to the new account.

You can get all your data exported with this function: https://www.garmin.com/en-US/account/datamanagement/
But it can be a bit hard to find the data you want to import.

Just logout of the web or the app and click create account.
