Is there any way to check the sync history on Garmin Connect?

Hello all,

I've lost my phone (on a ski hill, of all the places), and wanted to check to see when it was last synced with my Forerunner 45 to help me narrow down when I might have lost it.  However, in setting up Garmin Connect on my laptop, my watch ended up syncing with the laptop, overriding any information as to when it last synced with my watch.  Is there any way to access syncing history in Garmin Connect?

I had GPS enabled on my watch so that in Garmin Connect I can see exactly what runs I was doing at any given time.  If I could figure out when my phone lost contact with the watch, I might be able to find a needle in a snow pile.

Thanks.

  • I don't know if this applies to your FR45, but for my FR945 LTE, on the watch's filesystem (accessible when you connect it to a computer via USB), there's a file in \GARMIN\DEBUG called usage.log. It has timestamped logs with various information, including "Time with GCM connected".

Unfortunately, I think this file only gets written when you're using beta firmware. (My copy of the log ends when I updated my firmware to the latest version.)

So it's kind of a long shot, but maybe it's possible you have this file (or a file like it) on your watch.

  • Thanks for the suggestion; unfortunately, there is no file of that name.  I looked through everything else as well in  \GARMIN and didn't see anything that looked like it might contain the info I'm looking for.  I appreciate you taking the time to help, though!

    solved

  • Unfortunately, it doesn't have that either.  And it is now a moot point as I have left the ski hill, bit the bullet and bought a new phone.

That'll learn me to make sure all pockets are zipped up when skiing.

    Thanks for the suggestions!
