Edit a personal record

I ran a Marathon a couple of weeks ago in Madrid and ran a personal record.  However, because I was running in a city centre with tall buildings my watch GPS glitched a little throughout the race.  The final distance was around 43km but obviously the Marathon was really only 42.2km.  This means that the Garmin App logged a time of 3:47 for my Personal Record but my time was actually around 3:52.

I edited the distance in Garmin to the correct distance, and the activity now shows 42.2km but the PR is still showing 3:47.  I don't want to reject the PR because I did run a fastest time but I also don't want it logged 5 minutes too fast!  How do I resolve this?

  • You can edit the PR by clicking it in the personal records page and changing it to what ever time you like. Click the time, write the new time and click the green checkmark. If you click return/enter it will not save the record even if you press backspace and remove the newline and lclick the green checkmark.
