activity detail does not mention that tempe was connected

Should Garmin Connect show whether or not a Garmin tempe sensor was in use during an activity?

In mine (recorded with a fenix 6), I can see that the tempe data is used, since the recorded values are much lower than my body/skin temp, but I was expecting to see the tempe itself listed in the actitivy detail, i.e. the fact that it was connected.

I saw a similar question recently, about a third-party sensor, and the replies indicated that only Garmin sensors are listed in GC. Does that not extend to the tempe?

I suppose it doesn't really matter, since the weather data is shown too, so if that matches the temperature data recorded, then you know that the tempe was used for that activity.

This isn't an official solution but you can use this technique to show all sensors for an activity in Garmin Connect Web:

Yes, I do check that my fenix has seen the tempe, before starting an activity. But looking back, in the future, it would be nice if GC were to confirm that it was connected.

Good point about it only being the "independent" sensors, thanks.

I could've sworn that GC used to show all sensors at some point in the past.

hmm, neither of those json methods works for me. The first shows nothing, the second shows "no sensors".

perhaps the tempe itself doesn't appear as a listed sensor in the FIT file, the fenix 6 just adds its values to the temperature data it adds normally, rather than the internal temp sensor data?

DCRainmaker's analyser doesn't list it either, for my FIT file.

So perhaps my request isn't possible after all.
