Rouvy Cloud sync

Auto sync from Rouvy to Garmin Connect is a popular feature request on the Rouvy forums. They seem to hint that community members should be pushing Garmin to allow their API to be used by Rouvy.

Is there some roadblock put up by Garmin that denies this functionality?

I would like to add one point

Rouvy team is telling us that they are waiting Garmin to go on on this "project"

So my request for Garmin dev team is, how long do we have to wait to sync garmin connect and rouvy?

Rouvy team doesn't say exactly what the hold up is. They are just saying it is on Garmin's side. Are they waiting for approval, API keys, API access...?

Maybe it is just a business thing. Rouvy maybe needs to pay Garmin to be able to upload data and they refuse until it is cheaper. Who knows?

Ok. Doesn't really say what the real problem is. Why doesn't Garmin allow Rouvy? There must be a reason.

Garmin wants you to buy Tacx trainers + monthly subscriptions for their trainer video software. It’s competition.

Looks like Rouvy just turned it on a few days ago. Just sync'd a virtual ride. Auto import works well so far. Rouvy doesn't provide all of the data that my Garmin Fenix can capture from the Tacx trainer.

Yes I was quite happy to see the Garmin integration with Rouvy in early January. Took a while but it's done now
