Garmin file uploading without map or elevation data.

Could you post the fit file from the watch located in the \GARMIN\ACTIVITY folder?

• Zip the file, then in a reply post Insert >> Image/video/file >> click Upload >> browse for file >> OK.
• Or upload the fit file to a file sharing service, such as OneDrive, Google Drive, Dropbox, etc., make the file public, then paste a link to the file in your post.

If it's just a few, then could be an issue with the activity recording or an expired epo - Expired EPO on a Garmin Outdoor Watch

Thanks. I just wanted to make sure the problem is with the watch's fit file and not Garmin Connect. Connect is reporting exactly as it is being recorded. There is no GPS data in either of these fit files. The distance you're seeing is from the accelerometer. 

• 4559769232_ACTIVITY.fit contains no GPS data and no timestamps
• 7499743114_ACTIVITY.fit contains no GPS data has timestamps but no GPS data

I would delete the \GARMIN\RemoteSW folder and the contents of \GARMIN\ACTIVITY folder as described here: Removing Recorded Activities to Free Up Space on a Garmin Devices | Garmin Support

Then sync with Garmin Express. Let the watch sit outside with a clear view of the sky for 30 minutes, then go for a short test outdoor activity to see if things improve.
