Corrupt activity again.

Hi,

I seem to be getting a corrupt activity that won't upload every month or so despite clearing old activity files and updating the Forerunner software. Any suggestions on what else I could try. Would someone be able to fix the attached file for me please?

Unfortunately, the Forerunner 35 has chronic issues with corrupt files. The only thing I would add would be to move to a different watch. Any watch in the current Forerunner…

Unfortunately, the Forerunner 35 has chronic issues with corrupt files. The only thing I would add would be to move to a different watch. Any watch in the current Forerunner lineup would be better. If everything else is OK with the watch and you're willing to have a monthly corrupt file, then keep having it fixed here. Also report it to Garmin Support. They might not be able to help you, but the number incidents need to be logged by their support team.

Hi there,

Many thanks for fixing this for me again. I'll look into a new watch but is there some software I can use to fix corrupted runs if it happens again?

Here are some tools that can repair FIT files with varying effectiveness, depending on the underlying issue. Personally I use Fit File Repair Tool. There is a license to purchase, requires a Windows machine running at least Micosoft Access runtime. 2nd free choice, I'd try FIT File Tools. Many corrupt files can be fixed using the section remover option. Not for this fit file you posted though.
