Adding activity manually - stupid garmin?

Hello,

I rode a bike with a chest strap today. Unfortunately, after the ride, I inadvertently deleted the activity (instead of saving, I clicked on delete with a wet hand). So at home I entered the information manually. I created a cycling activity, added the exact start time, the exact duration, but the application does not display graphs or other data. Garmin knows the exact pulse because he remembers it from his chest strap. Why doesn't he just take this data and use it in the activity ?? He knows everything he needs. The only thing he doesn't know is the GPS route, which is not needed to draw a heart rate graph. He can also easily calculate the average heart rate and maximum heart rate when he knows the exact start and the exact duration of cycling. Am I doing something wrong or is it such a dull application? In addition, the data cannot be displayed either on the web or in the application in sufficient detail to at least manually calculate the maximum and average heart rate. Likewise, if she could draw the map manually, he could calculate the ascent and descent.
Please help.

  • Is the chest strap storing your data or how does it know your heart rate? Do you see the heart rate data in Connect now?

The heart rate data from your activity tracker (if you are using one) will not be used in an activity.

  • I inadvertently deleted the activity

You also have a chance of recovering that fit file. If you're interested - how do I get my activity back if I delete it?

  • I recorded cycling, but instead of saving it on my watch, I clicked Delete. Despite this, the watch and subsequently the garmin application know the exact heartbeat I had during the activity. Heart rate I see the whole graph in the application. However, for a manually created activity at a given time, heart rate data is not read, even though the garmin obviously knows it.

  • The heart rate in the daily summary is a lot less detailed (it is probably just saving average values) so it is pretty useless. If you compare that heart rate data with one in an activity you will se a huge difference.

I looked at my morning run. The daily summary says that my max heart rate was 154, but in the running activity it logged 165. The estimated average also looks a lot lower than the value in my activity.
