Sync Garmin Connect Calendar to Google Cal or Apple Cal

What a frustrating conglomeration of well meaning but non working directions. All I need is to have my Garmin Connect calendar sync to Google Cal or Apple Cal.

Sure Garmin publishes a URL method to Google but that does not work. Nothing for iOs. Many others on different forums have the same experience.

Lots of nuclear option suggestions or the suggestions that you could spend hours on, going down the path to nowhere. Questions that are not germaine to the issue as well. Not Success, for sure.

Anyone know something other than the stuff that has been published either by Garmin or other another party that they have tried and actually works?

Why is this a big deal to me? Easy. Convenient way to show my Doc my workout results in addition to Garmin workout results. And I used to do this with Polar electronics quite easily before I chose a better Garmin product-until this frustration became apparent.

It is officially only available in United States. I have installed it by sideloading it from an apk mirror and it works outside of US.

You can get a lot more data that way than through a calendar with activities.

Thanks. Appreciate it. An answer to be sure. But No help to me or anyone with the same sync problem. I have no idea what an APK mirror is. The clipboard. Not useful.

Anything else out there?

Ok. I thought you wanted your doc to see your workout and physical data. That can be done with Garmin Clipboard.

The ics calendar works with everything that can read ics calendar format. It works on iOS.

The calendar will show your planned training with all future workouts. It will not show your historic workouts. Start a training program and check the calendar again.

Appreciate the words. No training plan fits me not entering a competition.

I do my own customized, if you will, workouts-chose a published one anyway as per your words to get a calendar sync.

Will try the test as well.

What a lot of back and forth. Maybe I am too much of a direction follower and need initial instructions that my 8th grader would understand. I am on a day off so maybe later I can find some time to work this.

If I knew what you want to achieve then I might be able to help you.

If you want to show your data to your doc you can just use your profile page found in Garmin Connect.

No need to use calendars or other functions.

What I want to do? Be able to view the Connect Calendar on the calendar I use to plan my day. I can adjust from there. We tried some things with no luck. Thanks.

I have bookmarked the Connect calendar and try to look at it while I plan my day. I would rather have a training event on my overall calendar and make a plan for it.

Thanks for showing me ways to present results to whoever might need to see them.

If you use it to plan your day the shared calender works since it will show your planned workouts.

Subscribe to a calendar

Go to Settings > Calendar > Accounts > Add Account > Other.
Tap Add Subscribed Calendar.
Enter the URL of the .ics file to subscribe to and any other required server information.

You can also subscribe to an iCalendar (.ics) calendar by tapping a link to the calendar.

Must frustrating indeed; export to Apple Calendar is still not working: no recorded activity ever shows up.

Only thing I found so far that actually works is to sync with Starva and then export via stravcal.com
