Export East Coast Greenway Map to Garmin Connect

I am trying to use the East Coast Greenway map for an upcoming ride.

I build a route from Portland, Maine to Pawtucket, RI.

I export the GPX file -- when I bring it into Garmin Connect via the web interface, the map truncates to the first turn.

I've attached my GPX file.

If I bring the GPX file into ridewithgps, it works.

But I would like to avoid this step.

It would be really nice if Garmin would just include the East Coast Greenway map on the device..

Not seeing the file.

Zip the file, then in a reply post Insert >> Image/video/file >> click Upload >> browse for file >> OK.
Or upload the file to a file sharing service, such as OneDrive, Google Drive, Dropbox, etc., make the file public, then paste a link to the file in your post.

I drag and drop the file -- but I don't see where it goes. Is there a better way to upload my gpx file?

I think that the East Coast Greenway mapping tool includes directions to the starting point of the trail, so I when search for Portland, Maine -- it makes a little segment to go the .3 miles to the trail from Portland, Me. I am guessing that Garmin connect doesn't like seeing 2 segments in one GPX file? I don't know how to avoid this.

And I uploaded the GPX file in zipped format

The GPX file includes turn-by-turn directions, which Garmin choked on. This will work - my-ecg-route-fixed.zip

Thanks. Do you have a utility to remove the turn by turn -- or do you do this by hand with a text editor? Any chance that Garmin will fix this?

I just used Garmin Basecamp.

Imported you GPX file
Select everything except route, then delete

Then export the route as GPX
Import into Garmin Connect Web
