Badge not earned

There was a weekend 3 mile walking challenge from July 23-25. I recorded a 3 mile walk on July 24th. I synced less than 6 hours after the challenge ended. However, it tells me that I did not earn the badge. Why not?

Yes, I joined it when it was first released. I sync every day multiple times a day as well.

So to confirm, after your walk on 24th July, you next synced on 26th July, before 6am local time?
