How are my swimming activities added to my personal records?

I did swim with my watch, the personal records are not imported in Garmin Connect

Did you use Pool Swimming? Only Pool Swimming counts for personal records.

For it work I believe you need to have pool swimming as an activity type on the watch so what model of watch you have affects.

Thanks for your reply, i did use the option "Swimming in Pool" (translated from dutch ;-) ) with the activity type Laneswimming. My watch model is de Vivoactive4s

Sometimes it can malfunction. It did for me before my first personal records were set so I had to set them manually the first time. Go to the activity, click cog wheel and select Set as PR. The PRs will probably have incorrect times so either you edit the time or just let them be and set new PRs when the automatic PRs are working: https://connect.garmin.com/modern/personal-records

Thanks, I all put them on the same PR now with using the clockwheel :) Thanks, I am going to try and hopefully they change automatically now.
