Adding a Workout AFTER the activity has been completed

Is it possible to add a Workout to an activity AFTER the activity has been completed?  I have built a strength & conditioning workout with a number of exercises including reps & weights,  etc, but my Garmin 645M is not great at capturing reps, even if I manually start/stop each and every exercise which I don't want to do.  So I would love to be able to do all of my exercises, and then just add the workout plan to the activity afterwards.  As an example:  the workout says 20 x push ups followed by 20 x sit ups, followed by a 60 second plank.  I'd like to start the Activity ("Strength"), complete the exercises without touching the watch, then, after uploading the finished activity to Garmin Connect, effectively tell Garmin Connect that the Activity I just completed was the strength and conditioning workout I created.

Why?  The S&C workout shows all of the targeted muscles, etc, and lists all of the exercises, reps, weights, etc that I set up.  I know I completed them all as I had the workout on my phone next to me in the gym.  I don't want to start/stop the watch for each exercise because even if I do, it doesn't count every push up or every sit up anyway.  So why can't I track the activity which will give me heart rate, calories burned, etc, and then simply add the S&C workout to the activity, so I have a record of what I did?
