How to import historical run sessions

Is there a way to import historical run sessions?   These sessions do not have any GPS data points.   I can get the data into a CSV file separated into the right data fields, Date, Time of Day, Distance (km) and Elapsed Time.

While on the topic of importing, is it possible to also import my historical Weight data, again, I can get the weight data into a CSV file.

Steven.

ps. I will be importing from SportTracks.

  • Running activities from other sources can be imported into garmin connect, but not in csv format. AFAIK only tcx, fit, and gpx formats are supported.

  • Ok, looks like I have to hit the Google machine and figure out how to convert a CSV file to a TCX file,

  • It looks like I have a project.   I have many run sessions from 2000 to 2006 (1000+), pre-fancy-watch days that include no gps data points.   In the early days of SportTracks I was able to import those run sessions into SportTracks and that's where they reside now.   I can export them into a CSV file.   I've checked the formatting of TCX & GPX files and in both of them, there are no summary lines for total distance, total time etc.   That information is obviously calculated from the GPS data points.   So my project is to create a dummy GPX file, that has dummy GPS track point, only one, that matches exactly the information I have.   When that is complete, then import the dummy GPX file, the problem will be that the dummy GPS will be present and viewable.   In the notes field, I may include something to the effect that it's a dummy GPS file for the purposes of importing.

Anyway, if something like this has already been done it would be nice to know, would hate to re-invent the wheel.
