Garmin Connect .fit file won't upload

Hi,

My Garmin Forerunner 25 sometimes won't upload a file when it syncs and when I try to import it online it says that garmin connect doesn't support the file type (it is a .fit file). It has happened 4 or 5 times in the last 6 months and is very frustrating every time. I have stopped pen and paper tracking of workouts etc. to use garmin and strava to track better and is frustrating when this happens and I have a week that doesn't fit in with online tracking.

Problem with this one is that a timestamp was not in chronological order.

The files are likely corrupt. Forerunner 25, 30, and 35 are very susceptible to this issue. Attach it to this thread. We can take a look and repair these for you.

Zip the file, then in a reply post Insert >> Image/video/file >> click Upload >> browse for file >> OK.
Or upload the fit file to a file sharing service, such as OneDrive, Google Drive, Dropbox, etc., then share a link to the file in your post.

Some suggestions to help minimize the occurrence of corrupt fit files:

After verifying that everything has synced, remove the files in the \GARMIN\ACTIVITY folder on the device’s file system using these directions: Removing Recorded Activities on a Garmin Fitness Device If you're using a Mac computer, empty the trash folder before you unplug your device from the computer
Avoid excessive button presses such as pausing during your activity
Regularly check for firmware updates using Garmin Express
If issues with corrupt files persist, contact Garmin Support

What is this? Looks like a workout not a Garmin activity.

The file should come from the \GARMIN\ACTIVITY folder of your device.

I believe it was created in Training Peaks with the intention of loading it to the Garmin to beep at the intervals. Does it not work that way? (Or is that only for the Garmin bike computers?)
