Hi,
I noticed an error while loading new course to my Garmin fenix 6x watch.
I use garmin connect website. I do not want to discuss here that Garmin connect calculates the profile differently and that the elevation gain is inacurate. I can live with this.
When I upload an course to Garmin connect it shows more or less correct elevation profile, but after synchronization to my device I got an absolutely different numbers.
Garmin connect shows - 1927 m planned elevation gain
Fenix shows - 7065 m planned elevation gain
Anyway I did the training.
Measured values during activity was - 2281 m elevation gain.
I am ok with the difference between Garmin connect and real life data measured by Fenix. But that massive overestimation of planned course and climb pro function itself is tragical.
Due to this bug I am not able to use climb pro, and whole elevation profile is a mess. I assume that this error happens during the converting/sending the course to device.
It is not an random or accasional bug, it happens to me for all courses and activities. It happens with basic road cycling courses as well as in courses for XC mountain bike with steep areas.
I have been observing this behavior for two weeks. Before that the device was working normally.
Restart of the device did not have an effect on it.
If I put the GPX file direcly by cable into the Garmin/NewFiles directory everything is working properly... but I would like to use the "cable free" option.
Could you please help me to fix it? Is it just me with this bug?
