Forerunner 245 not synching with Garmin connect

Hi

Garmin connect would not open this morning. I tried the trouble shot suggestions

https://www8.garmin.com/manuals/webhelp/forerunner245/EN-US/GUID-4442F808-670B-4EF3-AC60-32666F173DFD.html#:~:text=Turn%20off%20your%20smartphone%20and,to%20retry%20the%20pairing%20process.

  • Turn off your smartphone and your device, and turn them back on again.
  • Enable Bluetooth® technology on your smartphone.
  • Update the Garmin ConnectTm app to the latest version.
  • Remove your device from the Garmin Connect app and the Bluetooth settings on your smartphone to retry the pairing process.
  • If you bought a new smartphone, remove your device from the Garmin Connect app on the smartphone you intend to stop using.
  • Bring your smartphone within 10 m (33 ft.) of the device.
  • On your smartphone, open the Garmin Connect app, select  or , and select Garmin Devices > Add Device to enter pairing mode.
  • On your device, hold LIGHT, and select  to turn on Bluetooth technology and enter pairing mode.

Garmin connect would not open this morning. I tried the trouble shot suggestions above. The first bullet proof did not solve it. I updated to latest garmin connect did not work.

I removed forerunner from phone and reselected it, put the 6 figure pin in to pair it, the watch gets stuck on a screen which says download Garmin connect Mobile for full connected experience.

Below is an option to Skip, there is a spinning white wheel around the screen. If you go to garmin connnect on the phone. It is stuck on fairing your forerunner 245 device searching for forerunner 245. They are directly next to each other.

Why is the technology not working as should be?

Solutions please?

Thanks

James
