Hit there! I went on a 50 mile ride (really hit a nice round number, too, thanks to a couple laps up and down the block at the end) but my Garmin encountered some sort of error early in the ride. The ride wouldn't upload to Garmin Connect as usual, and when I manually upload the .fit to Strava, it shows up as a 7 mile ride. Noooo.
Can anybody help repair this file?

so for the 39mins and 34secs you cycled 11,737.64 metres, or as you said 7.29 miles.
It appears your Garmin device through a wobbly and stopped recording.
If you connect your Garmin Edge 1010 to a computer and navigate to the Garmin folder, you may find other partial activity files which are the remainder of your ride.
As they say, if its not on strava, it never happened....annoying as that is! Garmin never fails when its an unimportant ride...it knows when you want to savour your efforts!!
