Yes - it's happened to me a couple of times in the last two weeks. It's timed out and although the courser remains visible on screen, it won't save. Given how many other web apps autosave work as you go along, I'm really surprised that Garmin Connect can't manage this for creating courses in 2021
The original post is mentioning Garmin Express, which is not really possible, other than using GE to "send to device."

Ok. Then it isn't really the same issue even if it is caused by the same mechanism. The course can still be saved. Just open Garmin Connect in an other tab and reload. Then you can save the course.

Hi, thanks for the help. if I understand this right, are you saying that opening a new tab with Connect (which won't have the course created on it) will somehow allow the course to be saved on the original tab which has timed out?
Yes. I sometimes start to create a course but have to leave it for several hours or even turn off the computer and after that my session has timed out. I then reload Connect in another tab and then I can save my course.
