Stress reading and Alcohol.

I've long notice that my stress goes up coincidentally with watching the news at dinner time. But I also have always had a glass a wine with dinner, and began to wonder if that was the cause rather than the TV. Today, I began having a glass of wine while reading, before dinner. A half hour later, my Stress reading is way up. Anyone else make this connection between alcohol and stress?

  • I do not pay attention to stress, but I noticed that my resting heart rate goes way up after even moderate amounts of alcohol (or some OTC drugs for that matter). So, yeah, no surprise there, that it could impact stress measurement.

  • If you want to take a more "scientific" approach to making correlations regarding alcohol consumption, this might help:

  • Sorry for bumping into an old conversation. While I'm no expert, I think it's possible that both watching the news and alcohol consumption could contribute to increased stress. Maybe try switching up your routine and see if you notice any changes. Also, it might be helpful to reach out to a healthcare professional for guidance. They can provide valuable insights and suggest therapy or treatment options that may help you manage stress better. Speaking of which, if you ever need to identify a pill, there's a handy pill finder tool available that can assist you in identifying medications accurately. Taking care of your well-being is crucial, so don't hesitate to seek professional help if needed.
