"Map-Compare" feature turned off for good on Connect Web?

It appears Garmin removed the Connect Web App feature that allows one to compare up to four activities on the *map*, where you can "play" progress with time sped up (like 30x or 60x) and small markers progress, one for each activity?

Yes. I see it now. Also, be aware that this only works on the Google or HERE map views, not OpenSreetMaps.

It's been quite a while since Garmin turned off the ability to "replay" with the moving dot and compare on a map. If I recall, it was turned off due to the excessive processing required by the servers.

This feature was there just a few days ago. It was useful in analyzing how well or bad one did on various portions of a route. I was going to showcase this comparison for someone today and found it missing. This was in my view the best feature of Garmin Connect on the Web and it is hard to believe that they would remove it due to something as trivial as server processing demands. The server load can be balanced. Any info on this from Garmin?

I have regularly used the feature until yesterday Apr 27th. Any idea how to peition for its return. Garmin "Chat Lady" opened a case but it would be nice to get some feedback from Garmin as to status. Where did the excessive processing info come from?

My apologies, this was probably from a long time ago, perhaps the first iteration of this feature is what I was thinking of, as I've been on these forums since 2009 and motionbased before that.

Garmin representatives on chat and telephone don't have any status info (except that it is not working) suggest having friends and relatives call.

I emailed support to ask about its return. It is strange practice to simply remove user features with no information. It could be that they removed it and wait for any noise to determine its usefulness.

This was a really useful function and agree with above no warning given or reason on any Garmin site. Help articles on using Compare function still show the map above the Activity stats.

Garmin please reinstate the map for users when comparing activities.

I have noticed that my Garmin Compare Map is Missing. This was one of the great features of the Garmin Connect. Could you please look into it and put it back as a feature in the Connect. Thank you.

I asked but was not given one which seemed a little odd at the time. I may have been speaking to an inexperienced representative.
