Garmin connect website switches UI language without asking permission

Since my phone language is set to Hebrew, after each watch sync the Garmin connect website switches back to Hebrew as well, and I must manually reset the language to English EVERY SINGLE TIME.

The automatic language switch, without option to disable it, is just poor UI programming. This doesn't seem as a bug, but a feature to annoy the users.

My watch language is English, and I wish to have both the app and the website to be set to English, without automatic language switches. Very trivial request.

Why all international Garmin users must suffer this?!

FIX THIS.

  • I always use English everywhere. The translations for my native language Swedish isn't always the best so using English always works better.

    I sometimes run Garmin Connect Web in Swedish for testing purporses but it has never switched to English automatically. I will do a longer test now for a few days and see if it switches to English automatically.

    My watch and phone use English and the app will automatically use the same language as the phone. The web interface got a separate setting...which you of course know since you use it a lot :-)

  • I don't need to be punished if I choose to have my phone with language other than English.

  • No of course not. The standard way to set language in apps on the phone is to use the system language. What language do you have in the app on the phone? It should be Hebrew since there is no standard way to change the language in the app to something else than the system language. If the language isn't available in the app it will use a fallback language which probably is English.

    I was just about to write that the language for my Garmin Connect Web is still in Swedish....but it has changed to English! I will make the change again and see if it repeats itself.
