Manual input for swimming everything but swolf?

I have got a Garmin edge 520 for cycling.

However, I go swimming too (and other exercises) which I input manually.

I use a Poolmate 2 for swimming,  which has the efficiency, SWOLF,  too.

I put the distance,  calories,  laps, etc to the Garmin app manually, however, it doesn't let me input the SWOLF.

Can't see the reason why,  as it let's me input everything else.

Any idea?

  • Any idea?

The app is designed for Garmin Devices, so the manual entries usually offer only the basic data to be editable. Try using an app from Poolmate, it may offer you what you need.

  • I'd understand this, but it lets me input everything else, calories,  distance,  heart rate, laps, much more than basic data  -the one and only thing is the swolf.

Guess I'd just have to live with it, until I buy a Garmin for swimming.

  • As I wrote, only basic data can be entered manually. At swimming it is not only the swolf, but also strokes, stroke rate, avg. distance per stroke, stroke type, temperature, heart-rate, etc. It is similar at other activity types - there is always only a limited number of fields available for the manual entries. Use the Notes, for keeping track on the values, you cannot enter

  • Yes, that's I've been doing,  just find it strange that it offers heart rate, max, average, temperature,  swolf appears , but won't let me edit it . Can't see the logic why it's there, on a manual entry, if it wouldn't let you edit it.

The poolmate is only a basic one (does quitea lot for a basic watch), no USB, bluetooth, so it's all manual entry.
