How do you set normal sleep hours in Connect online?

From the Garmin manual page on Sleep Tracking for the Fenix 6 family:

https://www8.garmin.com/manuals/webhelp/fenix66s6xpro/EN-US/GUID-70D41BFB-2BB2-4933-BF95-47FF63140112.html

"You can set your normal sleep hours in the user settings on your Garmin ConnectTm account. "

There is no such field anywhere in the User Settings in Garmin Connect online, at least not in my account.  If that field is supposed to be there, how do I make it visible?

I do not have access to the Connect mobile app, so that is not an option for me.

  • Only available on the watch or on the app - on the app click the watch symbol right of your avatar in the top right corner of the screen, then Device Settings  » User Settings » Normal Sleep Time

  • This option does not exist on Garmin Connect v8.02.

  • Garmin Connect v8.02.

Garmin Connect app v8.02 does not exist. It is now at the version 4.68, but sleep hours can be now adjusted as described in the document Setting Sleep and Wake Window Times in Garmin Connect | Garmin Customer Support

Menu » Settings » User Settings » Normal Bed Time & Normal Wake Time

Besides that, there is now also the possibility to adjust the scheduling option for individual days of the week.

Still not avalable on GC web. At least not for new models. Device settings, inc. the sleep hours, may be still available on GC Web for some older models

  • True, Garmin Connect software on computer is

  • So, is it on the watch? On the Garmin Express? Or on the Garmin Connect.

Possibly on your watch, but you will have to consult the manual for your watch, or asking on the FR55 forum - I am not familiar with that watch. It could be for example in User Settings, or in the settings of the Sleep Widget.

Other than that, only on the GC phone app

  • Even if I eventually found how to set normal sleep time how would this help if no data is recorded?

The normal sleep time only tells the watch when to start and end the detecting of the sleep, but it only starts to log the sleep data when it detects some sleep patterns. For example I have the normal sleep hours set from 22:00 to 10:00, but typically go to bed late after midnight, so the sleep graph will only include data from the time I really slept (for example 2AM - 8AM)

  • Found it exactly where you indicated. In Garmin Connect App on computer. Click on the watch dial. Click on the name of the device. Click on "user settings". Go to "Normal Sleep Time". Found mine was set to 10:30pm to 8:30am. FR55 does not collect data on sleep from 2230 hours until midnight exactly.

I will post on the FR55 forum page. There is a fault with sleep time data recording.

    Thanks for your help.

That's how it works. The watch does not collect the data all the time during the sleep hours. The time frame is ony used to turn on the sleep detection. The actual recording of the data starts only when a sleep pattern is detected.
