Corrupt FIT file

Hi Hive-mind

I know this has come up before but I'm really struggling to sort this.

My ride data yesterday was lost. I've recovered the file but it appears corrupt.

Can anyone help with recovering it?

We can try, but we need the fit file. 3 ways to get the file to us:

Zip the file, then in a reply post Insert >> Image/video/file >> Upload >> browse for file >> OK.
Zip the file, then drag and drop it onto a reply post.
Post a link to the file using a file sharing service, such as OneDrive, Google Drive, Dropbox, etc.

The fit file appears too far gone to do anything useful with it.

The file size is 104 KB. 102KB (98%) of which is corrupt.

101555 bytes of the file are corrupted and could not be repaired.

The recording ended abruptly and without the expected summary records. Probably data records at the end of the recording are missing.

The recording contains 3 records with a timestamp from 2038. This indicates problems synchronizing the GPS signal at the beginning of the recording.

To minimize future issues, suggest removing activities from the device using these directions: Instructions to Delete Activities Off of the Edge 500

Thanks so much for trying. I've read that that the clock change from GMT to BST can cause issues with ride recording. Do you think that may have happened here or is it simply bad luck?

Probably just a one-off issue. However the chance of having issues are increased on a 12 year-old device. Looks like this was on an Edge 500?

Yeah, Edge 500. It's always served me well buy maybe time for an upgrade. Thanks again for trying
