Best 10k within longer run

Hi

When I run a 15k I would like to know what are my best 5k and best 10k during this run.

I did not find this information in the activity data displayed in garmin connect

Did I miss something?

Can an app from connect IQ show me this information?

Thanks for your help

  • The best 5k and 10k times are shown only in the case you have set a new PR. It means, if you want to know the best 5k and 10k times at your next run, you could reset your PRs, as a workaround.

Another way to find the times for 5k and 10k, is using the Trim function - temporarily trimming out the slower parts. The trim is reversible, hence you do not need to fear any data loss when experimenting with it.

And yet another option, probably the most comfortable one, is using a Connect IQ app for that purpose. Possibly this one could do the job: [Record current activity], but there are certainly more of them in the CIQ store.

  • 1) If you also sync with Strava and don't mind paying 10 British pounds per year, you can use the Veloviewer web app analyze your Strava activities.

One of the features it has is to show you your best splits by any time or distance you want.

(You can try it out for free with a one-time sync of some of your most recent activities.)

    2) If you're willing to download a desktop app for your PC or Mac you can use Golden Cheetah (for free). Some issues include:

    - you have to manually import activity files. (You export them either by copying them from your watch with the cable connected, or by exporting the original file from Garmin Connect)

    - it's really cycling-focused

    - it doesn't have the greatest UI / user experience

After importing an activity, right click on it and select Find Intervals > Peak Pace > Length (By Distance)

Golden Cheetah might be okay if you just need to do this as a one-off or rare kind of thing. If you want to analyze every activity, it might be a pain.

  • Thanks for your answer

Unfortunately this app is not available for 245 but I'll try to find something similar
